Education Development Day - 2025

Alwin International Public School proudly commemorated Kamarajar Educational Day on 15th July 2025, in honour of the birth anniversary of the esteemed statesman and educational visionary, Dr. K. Kamaraj. The celebration, held during the school assembly, was marked by the enthusiastic involvement of students and staff, and graced by the presence of our Principal, Vice Principal, Headmistress, and Assistant Headmistress, whose inspiring presence added significance to the occasion. The event began with a traditional Bharatanatyam welcome dance, performed with elegance and devotion, setting a respectful and festive tone. This was followed by a patriotic group song, beautifully rendered by the students, that paid homage to Dr. Kamaraj’s enduring contributions to India’s educational upliftment. A key highlight of the programme was a powerful speech by students portraying Dr. Kamaraj, who brought to life the ideals, simplicity, and selfless service of the great leader. Through this portrayal, students were reminded of the value of education and the responsibilities of future citizens. The programme concluded with an inspiring address by our Principal, who highlighted the legacy of Dr. Kamaraj and the profound impact of his work in making education accessible to all. She also took the opportunity to express heartfelt appreciation for our beloved School Chairman, describing him as a humble and noble leader who has devoted his life to the cause of education and the betterment of students’ future.

Yoga Day - 2025

Alwin International Public School proudly celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and spirit, aligning with this year’s theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” The event began with the participation of Grade 8 students, who performed a series of yoga asanas such as Tadasana, Ardha Kati Chakrasana, Veerabhadrasana, Utkatasana, and seated postures like Parvatasana and Gomukhasana. Their graceful performance highlighted the importance of yoga in enhancing both physical strength and mental focus. Adding to the celebration, our trained yoga performers presented Surya Namaskar and a variety of asanas in two beautiful formations on stage, showcasing balance, coordination, and discipline. The program concluded with an encouraging message from the yoga instructor, who emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily routine — not just for personal well-being, but also to promote a healthier and more harmonious world. The celebration served as a gentle reminder that yoga is not just a form of exercise, but a way of life — one that connects individual health with the health of our planet.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2025

The Investiture Ceremony of Alwin International Public School was held on 11th June 2025, marking a proud and inspiring moment for the newly elected Student Council 2025-26. The event commenced with a warm welcome and the arrival of our honourable Chairman, Dr. N. Vijayan, whose visionary leadership continues to guide us all. The ceremony included the hoisting of the flag, Tamil Thai Vazhthu, a heartfelt prayer song, and an enthusiastic march of the student leaders. The handing over of flags, oath-taking, and investiture of badges signified the official beginning of a new chapter of leadership, responsibility, and commitment. Clubs were announced, a special song lifted spirits, and our Chairman’s inspiring address added depth to the occasion. The event concluded with a gracious vote of thanks and the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and purpose. A proud and memorable day that marked the beginning of a promising leadership journey!

Independence Day- 2024

Our School celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by vibrant cultural performances, a speech competition, patriotic quiz, and essay writing activities. Students participated with energy and pride, showcasing their love for the nation and deepening their understanding of India’s journey to freedom. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Principal, making it a memorable and meaningful day for all.

Christmas Day Celebration- 2024

The Christmas Day celebration was held with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by carols sung beautifully by the choir groups from various schools. A special highlight of the event was the skit performed by the teachers depicting the birth of Christ, reliving the divine moment with devotion and grace. This was followed by a vibrant dance performance by the teachers, which added joy and colour to the occasion. The arrival of the Chief Guest added prestige to the event, and he appreciated the efforts of the participants. The programme concluded on a delightful note with a festive dinner arranged for all the teachers, marking the end of a joyous and memorable evening.

Grandparents Day - 2024

Grandparents Day was joyfully celebrated with our Kindergarten children, filling the school with warmth, laughter, and love. The little ones welcomed their grandparents with handmade cards and bright smiles. "Tiny hands in wrinkled palms, Hearts connected, quiet and calm." The event featured fun-filled games, sing-alongs, and interactive activities designed to strengthen the special bond between generations. Grandparents joined their grandchildren in dancing, storytelling, and laughter that echoed through the day. "Their giggles met with gentle cheer, Creating memories we hold dear." It was a heartwarming sight—love across generations, celebrated through simple, unforgettable moments of joy. A truly magical day!

Teacher's Day Celebration - 2024

On the special occasion of Teachers’ Day, educators from all branches of the Zion and Alwin Group of Schools came together at Zion International Public School for a heartfelt and joyous celebration. The event was a beautiful tribute to the dedication and tireless efforts of our teachers, marked by unity, appreciation, and a deep sense of gratitude. Sports Day - 2024

The spirit of sportsmanship soared high as we celebrated 10th Annual Sports Day with unmatched enthusiasm and pride. The presence of Mr. Selva Prabhu Danabalan, National Volleyball Player and Chief Guest, added glory to the occasion alongside our esteemed Chairman Dr. N. Vijayan and our visionary school leaders. This memorable day showcased the dedication, discipline, and drive of our young athletes. From volleyball to throwball, skating to silambam, and chess to kabaddi, our students lit up the field with their grit and glory. The highlight was the overall championship win and the Girls U-17 individual title, proudly clinched by Miss Lydia Anika. From state-level medals to international titles, our students’ achievements have truly raised the bar. ANNUAL DAY - 2024

The International Yoga Day is celebrated annually on 21st June. Yoga is an art that embodies the elegant entwining of the body and soul to streamline the unity of mind, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature, a holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga is an ancient practice that helps to keep one’s mind healthy and body fit.

Education Development Day - Kamarajar’s Birthday

The Birth Anniversary of the late Chief Minister K.Kamaraj is celebrated as the ‘Educational Development Day’ in recognition of his contribution to the development of education. Kamarajar’s birthday was celebrated with great pomp and show. Students showcased their talents on the dais with a wonderful skit, speech and a song highlighting the eminence of the noble leader. The audience were amazed and felt that Kamarajar himself was on the dais. Hats off to them.

Investiture Ceremony

"A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way." - John C. Maxwell The Investiture Ceremony is a solemn occasion, not just about providing titles, but about conferring responsibilities to the students, to take charge of the school and take it to greater heights with their leadership, decision making skills, communication and teamwork. The selected students are honoured with their respective badges such as Head Girl, Head Boy, Sport Captain and the student council members take an oath to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

“Freedom in the mind, Faith in the words Pride in our souls”.Independence Day is always memorable – the day to rejoice in the glory of what our country has been able to achieve and a day to remember the contributions, battles and sacrifices of all the martyrs who helped achieve it. We celebrate this day by taking the opportunity to remember our heroes while paying due recognition to all the people who helped us move forward from 1947 to the present day and become one of the most powerful countries in the world – politically, militarily and economically.

SPORTS DAY

The Senior Principal extended a floral and formal welcome to the Guests and dignitaries,Ms.Vacasya Lakshmi Narayanan, Asia’s No.1 Skater and world Champion,Ms.Saraswati Manoharan, Union Chairman, Kundrathur,our Respected Chairman Dr.N.Vijayan,our Vice Chairman Mr.Aldous Huxley, our Director Mrs.Rachal Huxley and shared a brief report of the School’s Sports activities and achievements of students. This was entailed by the hoisting of School Flag and declaration of the Meet Open followed by the lighting of the flame by the School’s Sports Secretaries and releasing of doves, to mark the expression of joy and merriment followed by an array of sports events,drills and pyramid. It is a proven fact that sports are important for physical and mental development, team spirit, social skills and improvement in academic performance as well.

BADGE CEREMONY

The Badge Ceremony is a moment to cherish for the students who have worked hard to excel. Students from classes I to XII are awarded Scholar and Topper badges. Gold and Silver Stars are awarded for KG students as a recognition of their outstanding academic merit and excellence. Our Senior Principal Dr.R.S.Shanthi honoured the toppers and scholars of the year 2022 -2023.

SCIENCE EXHIBITION

A Science Exhibition is a wonderful tool that engages students in learning as they put effort and make models with their own hands. It develops a scientific spirit and curiosity in a student which in turn forces them to think creatively and find solutions to the challenges. This exhibition is organized every year to give ample opportunities to children to sharpen their creativity and imaginative skills.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY 2019-2020

Grandparents' play a very important role in the life of every child. This part of our school programme is intended mainly to convey the importance of joint family system in our society and say goodbye to old age homes.

The Grandparents Day was celebrated on 30th November, 2019 with lot of zeal and excitement. Chief Guest Mrs. Chenthamilselvi, former Director of Matriculation Schools graced the occasion.

COLOURS WEEK

Colours play a vital role in the world in which we live. Colour can sway thinking, change actions, and cause reactions. Early identification of colours helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s holistic development. The motive of celebrating colours week is to make the kids become aware of the colour, its significance and to develop the fine motor skills in the students. The day began with fun filled introduction of colours. Classes were decorated with balloons, ribbons, flowers and cut outs.

ANNUAL DAY

Annual Day forms an integral part of our school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements. This special day was presided over by Dr. K. Karthikeyan, IPS, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Kancheepuram.

REPUBLIC DAY

Republic Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school every year. Students perform various cultural activities to entertain the guests and other fellow students.The Chief Guest Mr. P. Madhusoodhanan, Wing Commander, IAF Retd, General Manager, HCL Technologies stunned everyone with his speech that added a special colour to the celebration.

THE BHARAT SCOUTS AND GUIDES PATROL LEADERS MEET

146 Scouts and Guides from the Zion and Alwin group of schools attended a Patrol Leader Training Camp on the 8th of January, 2020 conducted by the newly formed Pallava Mandalam District officials in the auditorium at Alwin International Public School, Padappai. The importance of Patrol System, Proficiency badges and Court of Honour was explained to the students. They were motivated by Dr. N. Vijayan State Treasurer, Tamilnadu Bharath Scouts and Guides, Mr. P. Mani, President Bharat Scouts and Guides Tamilnadu, Mr. Harish L Mehta, Dy. National Commissioner, State Commissioner (Scouts) Bharat Scouts and Guides Tamilnadu, Mr. V J Purantharan Dist. Commissioner (Scouts) South Chennai District and Ms. Kempi Pakam, Vice- President Bharat Scouts and Guides India. New and unique school scarf was released by Ms. Kempi Pakam and Rajayapuraskar Certificates were distributed to the 2017 – 18 awardees.

TINY TOTS COMPETITION: (2019 – 20)

An interschool competition for the Kindergarten students was organized on the 2nd November, 2019 in the auditorium of Zion International Public School, Mappedu. The students of Alwin International Public School, Padappai participated in the interschool competition where they not only proved their mettle but also gave tough competition for the other participants. The children of our school bagged the maximum number of prizes in the event.
